Throttled by Lauren Asher was a blind BookTok recommendation to myself. I, with mild carelessness, added it to my book list and also asked for it as a Christmas gift from my partner’s mom. Now.. this novel is way saucier than I anticipated. It is the first in a series of three. I thought that the writing style was very predictable and distracting in it’s clunkiness. Don’t get me wrong, this is an easy read and the sauciness wasn’t entirely unwelcome, but it appears to be a majority of the plot. I enjoyed this read, but I will not be indulging myself in the rest of the series. It isn’t necessary either, as the plot line is safely and entirely concluded within this.
